Antioxidants, such as Vitamins C and E, Ferulic Acid, Phloretin, Resveratrol, Green and Red Tea and Coffeeberry can help prevent wrinkles and sun damage, reduce hyperpigmentation (sun spots), and even help to prevent skin cancer and pre cancers.

Antioxidants should be used first thing in the morning, after washing your face, and before you apply any other serums, your moisturizer and sunscreen.  Antioxidants and sunscreens should always be used together as they reinforce each other’s ability to protect the skin from the damaging effects of free radicals caused by sun, pollution and even indoor lighting.  When used together, they give the skin more protection against environmental damage that accelerates skin aging.  To further benefit skin, a retinoid should be used at night to help prevent collagen breakdown, diminish the signs of sun exposure and increase cell turnover.

When it comes to the signs of aging, prevention is key, so it’s important to conserve collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin, all of which keep skin looking plump and firm. Retinoids, antioxidants and sunscreen help to preserve all three.

We are happy to provide excellence in skincare at Charlotte Skin and Laser.
